Descrizione
This ancient residence in a panoramic position is located in an area of the Chianti Senese that is dense with ancient settlements.
The original building dates back to medieval times, as is clearly revealed by the fine stone gate.
The architectural structure of the entire complex denotes a function that is neither rural, as witnessed by the breadth of the windows and their careful stone framing, nor military, given the total absence of openings and firing positions. It is a service structure, an ancient lodging for pilgrims or a resting place and service for horses. This road origin is confirmed by the plans of the Leopoldino Cadastre and the splendid Via Francigena that characterises it and proves its original environmental and historical significance.
The past centuries have left us a building of imposing and non-serial architecture with buttresses, shaped stone gates, lights circumscribed by profiles and corbels of dressed stone.
The numerous stretches of dry-stone walls will lead you into a context where a faithful architectural recovery has given us back an evocative testimony of ancient Tuscany.
The structure is composed of rural buildings arranged in an L-shape overlooking a large terraced courtyard and is divided into 10 cosy apartments, all with independent entrance, living room with fully equipped kitchenette, living room, fireplace, twin or double bedroom and bathroom. The property has a restaurant and a SPA with hammam, sauna, Jacuzzi, large massage cabin and relaxation area.
The property is surrounded by 50 hectares of land, two of which are fenced off with a lush garden housing a splendid panoramic swimming pool and a Jacuzzi. The remaining is woodland.
